Kevin Durant has an MVP winner as teammates in 12 out of 13 years career. Only his rookie season he had no future/past MVP winner on his team.

During his MVP year he played winning basketball. He made his team better. I remember when he was interviewed once and the reporter said something mentioning the fact that the team got dominated when he was on the bench, and was amazing when he was playing, he responded with something along the lines of “cmon man, it’s a team sport” or something with the same meaning. To go along with thad, he had the stats, he had the storyline, and he was loved by his teammates, and the media. You could argue all day that Harden deserved it more that year, and you could even provide some pretty good reasoning, but the fact is Westbrook won and no one in their right mind can say he didn’t earn it.
