Kevin Smith: I'm "Living on Borrowed Time" After Heart Attack

I feel like the idea of being "ready to die" or "okay with dying" at a young age like KS is selfish. I get that he's saying he's had a nice life and gotten to do a lot of great things, but how would his wife and kid feel about hearing something like that? My dad is in his early 60s and if told me he was at peace with the idea of dying I'd be really upset with him. Kevin's daughter is barely even an adult, how could he be willing to check out of this life now, would a father not want to watch their child grow and succeed, and enjoy the successes of their parents? IMO, it's a selfish and narrow outlook, but he uses pretty words to highlight how good his life has been up to this point which is what people (as a fan, me included) like about kev, he's good at talking.
