Kevin Sorbo Alleges Designer Gianni Versace Sexually Harassed Him

Weird story, but I was bartending in downtown Chicago in 1997. A guy came in and started telling crazy stories about prominent men and how they all like to pay for gay sex, etc. Seemed a bit of a blowhard and didn't think much of it. The guy tipped like crazy and was name-dropping, etc. This wasn't much of a place, so he kind of stood out for this particular bar, although I knew his type (name-dropping, etc.) pretty well.

When Lee Miglin (prominent gay man masquerading as a straight man)was killed they started circulating this picture on the news and around the city.

99% positive it was him..

The manhunt was super intense. When he killed Versace a couple of months later it was really crazy. He was literally one of the most famous gay men in the world. In retrospect, this guy clearly had a plan. When I looked at the dates, etc. I realized he might have killed Miglin PRIOR to coming in to the bar.

I walked away thinking about the banality of evil. How this guy seemed so average. Just kind of a run of the mill loudmouth type you could meet at any bar.

They never fully identified his motives, although speculation was rage at older gay men and their treatment of him. Certainly fits with his crimes.

Anyway that's my serial killer story. I'm a psychologist now and have met a lot more killers when I worked as a forensic psychologist. They all seemed to be pretty bland guys actually. Often times driven to narcissistic rage and murder in a moment of anger.

I can't imagine his interactions with Versace were very positive.
