Phenomenal is a weird way to describe someone who ran away the whole time then shoots for the takedown when get close. Of course there was the one strike where khabib fakes the takedown and landed the overhand right I think in the second. That one was devastating. They only exchanged strikes for any amount of time in the third and connor won that round. One good punch in that round and no one would have talked about khabib ever again. But khabib fought smart in the other rounds and won by a lot with submission. If connor learns to defend take downs and get up quickly (maybe impossible against khabib) then khabib would lose. Connor doesnt seem interested in trying to win this fight later though so we can say whatever about it forever and it won't matter.
