There was a neighborhood kid like this in our neighborhood.

My parents were adamant not to ostracize him. My dad taught him the normal dad stuff since he didnt have the father figure. He would learn to work with his hands, discipline, time management... you name it, his mom would just shuck him over to our house and he would have to do all the shit we did. Me and my siblings helped him with homework, and how to do stuff like getting a job and how to interact with authority.

We constantly had to stop him from doing dumb shit like breaking into our house and cars. Constantly had to stop him from doing dumb shit in town like stealing or starting fights.

Was in prison before he turned 18 for attempted murder.

So frustrating looking back at all the time and energy spent for him to continue to be a dipshit all the way through.
