Kid is interested in a game on the Subway so guy let’s him play.

My grandfather is 89, a korean war vet, an amputee, a great grandfather, and a truly upstanding guy. He's worked his ass off his entire life.

He lived in an apartment complex since his late 60's, his house was too much for him to take care of.

A few years ago one of the neighbors asked if he'd watch her son in the mornings between when she left for work and when he got on the bus. No big deal, Pops and the kid got along great, it was a highlight of his day, and it was no problem.

A few weeks later, she asked how things were going, and he made some old timey comment, I really don't remember what it was, but it freaked the mom out, and she never let the kid around my grandfather again.
