Kidding - 1x07 "Kintsugi" - Episode Discussion

The thanksgiving scene was honestly a really nice touch. Good to see the family all back together, having a seemingly normal good time together bonding. Will and Maddie lamenting over adult things was great.

The collective fuck you scene made me laugh so hard, but I guess that's what family does. They stick together. On that note, Will and Jeff bonding too in LA was nice. Kid seems to be coming round to being good to his dad. Jeff and Jill having a warm, supportive conversation with each other was nice too.

Admittedly facepalmed in horror when Jeff went on his rants on the show but it was very funny. Saw the Jim Carrey physical humour here. Camera editing for that one was surreal.

There has to be a backstory for Vivian's actions. I mean, if she's totally selfish and just seemingly dumped Jeff just like that then well, that's disappointing.

I think every character here shows a lot of humanity in each of them. I love watching the struggle in each character's lives, especially with Jeff. My main gripe is that I feel that there's not enough screen time for some of them and we see the switch in character actions too quickly. Was it intentional to represent how humanity is so frequently

Jeff's unpredictable behavior I understand
