Kidney and abdominal pains...I'm scared.

If this is the moment you get sober, you're going to look back at this rough night as the best decision you've ever made. Right now though, its definitely going to be scary. I stopped drinking a few months ago after about 6 years of darkness, and I realized that a lot of the things I had always attributed to my drinking were actually underlying medical issues that had been masked by drunkenness and hangovers. Those little pains and aches you're describing didn't go away when I stopped drinking. A few months later and I'm on my way to getting actual treatment for something that could have been so much worse if I continued to ignore it.

Listen to your body. Stay calm tonight and rest easy. Your body is a tank, it can take a beating, but alcohol adds noise to the signals your body is trying to send you. Withdrawals aren't anything to scoff at, but if you can push through you might save your life. Good luck brother. I will not drink with you tonight.
