Kids of “back in my day” parents, what’s the most annoying thing they ranted about?

My point about the 10 year comment is that I'm a freelancer. I'm looking for a job of some kind constantly. Even if it's temporary. I know a lot of freelancers who soley rely on online ads and applications for temporary work. I do way better than them by simply asking around and getting my name out there among the companies I want to work for. Landing a good full time position is not much different. Sure it's not ever job. But a very large percentage of full time jobs can still be obtained that way.

Plus, I'm a web site developer. Who do you think works with the HR departments to put up their career sections and online applications? I'm doing one this week for a $300 million company with 8 different HR departments. Doesn't change the fact that most of the subcontractors that work for that company still hire in a completely different way.
