Motherfucker, man this is some deep shit, especially after having a long ass phone conversation with someone about elements of human behaviour hard wired into us that cannot be shown in a lab, including why it feels awkward when an autistic person looks someone in the eye while it doesn't when a very normal person looks in the eye for an extended period even though it's the exact same eye; the eye's physical properties do not change when someone is autistic or awkward or struggles making eye contact, yet we can still read so much from a person's eyes. Yet we can't pin point what exact physical properties allow us to come to the conclusions we do about a person's perceptions in that moment.
