I've had two or three playthroughs now and I like how well the album as a whole is working. You went for a new style with much more synths and I have to admit you execute it really well and you definitely achieved to add a new touch to this genre.

On the other hand: I got into KOG because of the great energy in your songs which is lost in a few songs now. Probably due to the more atmospheric, ethereal sound. And I loved KOG for the great technical level. While you still have some superb drumming I am definitely not a fan of the guitars though. I didn't notice ANY clean lead guitars I loved so much on the previous albums. It's mostly chugging the same chords now and this just gives me nothing. Your peak (for me) was "Ground Culture", ATHYGTS still had some good parts like the ending of "Lost Cause".

So long story short: This is a great album if you love the new style. Unfortunately it's not my cup of tea. I will add "Lost Hills" to my Playlist but other than that I have to admit that I will not come back to this album.
