Lol I'm amused. This exact argument happened 2 years ago when Asian Kitana was first revealed. People debated if it was racist to dislike the change while others said no, we just want consistency. Now we have a black Mileena (and potentially a black Kitana by proxy) some of the same people who liked the sudden change to Asian and slammed others for being "racist" and not liking it, they are now so concerned about "the way the character used to look".

Again this is what 30 years of failing to establish what your character is supposed to canonically look like does. Kitana and Mileena have no real established consistent look, they've been shapeshifters, so we have several different camps of fans who all have their own preferences.
