KLM flight cancelled - Refused a refund

Not legal advice but....

Yes, it's the law, but they will stall and stall and stall and stall. It's company policy. They are masters of it, really really skilled at just saying "no".

I've had several run-ins with KLM over the years, over service issues STN-AMS and LHR-AMS. They are, without exception, the most frustrating company I have dealt with in my 57 years alive, and not just airlines. I have stood in front of their desk IN SCHIPOL for FOUR HOURS once and got nowhere (I had a flexible ticket, marked "flexible", paid at the flexible rate, and they refused to change it, point blank, no reason offered). They will do absolutely nothing without a court case against them, which they will defend beyond all reason and bankrupt you in legal fees.

Let it go. For any flight you don't take, you can get back the Airport Taxes. Settle for that. You aren't going to win this.
