Klopp's comment on Martinelli was NOT "completely unprompted" like James Benge said. In fact, Klopp forgets Martinelli's name in the beginning, calling him a "young brazilian guy", and then ends the segment saying that everyone should remember Martinelli's name but he forgot because "he's old".

You're not alone in that sentiment. I'd be happy to see Klopp fuck off and watch the scousers and their bandwagon fans go into panic mode. The more I go out into the world and meet other football fans the more I find Liverpool fans to be among the worst. Them and Barça fans are such an intolerable bunch. There's two sides to that coin however, and some other fans find ours to be pretty bad too. AFTV and twitter have really given us a bad image but most other Arsenal fans I meet in the wild are generally good people.

Same goes for Bayern fans. I'll never forget the night that I met a Bavarian girl who came through my hometown to attend a lecture at a nearby university (I guess the person giving it was pretty popular in her field of study, which of all things was agricultural science). I never stay in that town long but I sometimes go back to spend a month or so with family before my wanderlust takes over and I leave to start the next chapter in life. Because of this I always end up working odd jobs whenever I'm there, and this time I was working at the public library. She stopped in one night and when I saw her looking around I asked if I could help her find anything in particular. She declined, but noticed and commented on the Arsenal pin that I had next to my name tag. We had just been badly beaten by them in the champion's league (5-1) so as I'm sure you can imagine it was your typical, light hearted banter. After talking for a few minutes we seemed to click, and I was able to find the courage to ask her out for a few drinks afterwards. Much to my surprise she accepted and we ended up talking about football, traveling, good beer, bad beer, and the differences between American and German culture before going back to her hotel. I was stunned, because she was (or so I thought at the time) way out my league. Anyway, it was a magical night. It felt like fate had brought together two wandering souls in just the right time and place for a memorable evening that was as fleeting as as they come. Like those rare snow storms in late spring when you get to see wildflowers hanging over the snow, and just as soon as the snow melts, she was gone. When I woke up in that hotel bed the next morning there was no sign of her having ever been there, just piece of paper left on her pillow with "Arsenal ist scheiße ;)" written on it. Good times.
