[Knight] Nine major league pitchers were cut from their teams after rough outings against the Astros in Houston in 2017. I reached out to all of them for their thoughts on the allegations that the Astros cheated at home that year.

No one knows what to expect. If it's limited to 2017 but extended beyond the redsox issue / Manfred statement it will be "light" in terms of what most baseball fans would want. (fines / couple of draft picks)

If it extended into the playoffs and it is proven, I expect at least some banning, perhaps not for life but at a minimum Luhnow and Hinch get a year.

If it extended beyond 2017 and became more sophisticated? All bets are off. I'd expect full FO clearing, lifetime bans and some crippling draft sanctions and additional restrictions either in the internal market or releasing a bunch of their Title 4 / 5 protected players.

The fines are capped at 2M but Manfred could decide to interpret that per occurrence and just hammer ownership monetarily.

Honestly, I think he'll try to walk a fine line. I won't like it, will feel it doesn't redress the issue for any teams affected (AL rivals / division rivals/ dodgers) but they'll make it a business decision more than anything else. That's how I see it.
