[Knight] Turns out the Dodgers had the money to pay all the people they laid off after all.

Cuban was born with an entrepreneurial spirit. He sold shoelaces as an early hustle to make money. He always had a hustle going.

He and his buddies also bought an empty warehouse in Deep Elum (urban Dallas neighborhood) so they could host giant parties to make money. This was in the late 80s/early 90s.

His wealth was born out of an idea to use the early internet as a way to listen to his favorite college sports game radio broadcasts across the country, for him it was Indiana Hoosier games. It started as Audionet, became Broadcast.com, then later was bought out by Yahoo and used as the platform base for their sports streaming services. The Yahoo acquisition made him the billionaire.

He's been on local Dallas radio many times telling his story. He's an awesome dude with an awesome story.
