The first amendment isn't relevant to this dialogue. People will often REEEEEE over "freedom of speech" anytime they're told to stfd and stfu, or otherwise have their poorly-developed opinions ripped to pieces.

But, the first amendment has zero to do among private U.S. citizens. It merely means that people have the freedom to spout off whatever stupid shit pops into their head, but similarly anyone else has the freedom to express their judgement of said stupid shit.

Unless law enforcement or other official actors of the state are imprisoning or disappearing people who think season 8 was wonderful (which tbh I've never previously considered the benefits of such a police state, but this sure is pushing it) no rights are being violated.
