I'm sure this isn't that bad which is why he's joking about it but this hit me hard. My biggest nightmare is to end up married to a woman I thought I loved to find out that she's an anxious, rageful horror of a person. Seen good friends' relationships end up in the toilet because they dated girls who never had any pressure to control their behavior because they saw themselves as the "weaker" person in any given situation which justified, in their minds, any reaction to any perceived slight. Really fucking sucks to watch your best friend get screamed at by his gf and he can't do anything about it because he loves her and he's not the sort of person to go to her level and she would get the last word in on any argument even if she was completely wrong and it lasted for years.
