Kotaku publishes article calling out the wannabe fighting game community for smelling like poo; mexican guy (who smells) answers

The reason gaming journalism sucks is that the people doing it hate games and think that the job they're paid to do (report on games) is below them. They're special snowflakes who believe their true destiny is to be Edward R-fucking Murrow. But they have $100k or more in student debt and games journalism is the only job they could get.

...well, that's not quite true. They could also have taken jobs with small town newspapers, but those jobs require actual work and would require them to leave whatever city they're living in - fuck that!

So they write about games, but they hate games and the people who play them, and they believe all of this is far below their lofty stature. As a result, they search for any excuse to write about something "important" - and that's why they interject social justice into everything.

Like, imagine the journalists covering any sport literally hated the sport. You'd get the exact same outcome. There'd be a formula 1 race and you'd get articles that wouldn't even tell you who won, they'd just tell you how disgusting it is that there are white people involved.
