Kremlin Lashes Out At European Leaders For Supporting Visa Ban For All Russians

Ok, thanks for clarifying that.

I am not opposed to the tourist ban for vacation tourists. Europe is not the only country in the world, tourists can go elsewhere. it does severely limit the chance for asylum seekers to get out as well, but that's being discussed enough all over the place, no need to go there.

The fact that they included visiting close relatives as part of a ban on the EU level, however, is disturbing and wrong. Along with a couple other lesser known groups that also fall under Schengen visas but are not tourists.

Imo the same restrictions that Finland had during Covid were almost spot on, and Haavisto's proposal to have 1 day a week for processing some tourist visas on top of it would make things easier for people who need to flee the regime.

I mentioned the GC article because whether to go against it or not is a serious political decision, but, once again, if the article is misquoting it, forget it.
