KY Gov.: Mass Shootings Are Result Of ‘Culture,’ ‘Psychiatric Drugs,’ Lack Of Morals

well for one, we're talking Ky state laws right now.

but yes, it would take a repeal or change to the 2nd amendment. which could be argued makes sense here. i mean really, amendments are changes to the constitution to reflect the times. For another very basic example, not too long ago only a small portion of the country could vote. I'm talking fairly recent, our grandparents likely knew people who were alive pre-15th amendment. 15th amendment gave black people the right to vote. Sounds pretty basic to us in the modern age, i mean they're human citizens they should vote. But they couldnt until the 15th amendment. a similar example, we probably all know people who were around before women could vote; or at least our grandparents certainly knew people alive during that time. again, sounds pretty basic: in our time there are very powerful women, very rich women, very smart women. They're human citizens, they should vote. They couldn't until the 19th amendment.

I get it, i like guns a lot. they're super fun. but they're dangerous and we clearly have a problem. during the time of the 2nd amendment everyone was happy to be an independent country and didn't ever want to be colonized by Britain again, so they wrote the 2nd amendment. also in that time everyone had guns muskets. it would take 5 minutes to shoot 5 people even if you had them tied to a tree. in modern days you can (and many people are starting to) kill upwards of 50 people in 1 minute.

point is, i love guns too. they're fun. but they're clearly dangerous. you can't look at the current state with an unbiased mind and feel that we don't have a gun problem. and if you can admit that we have a gun problem, you have to trust that the lawmakers that were voted in to office to solve the people's problems will take an honest, unbiased approach to work towards resolving the problem
