Kyle Long on Justin Fields during the green light podcast

Yeah, this is what I don't get. Every QB drafted, especially in the first round, shows they excel at at least some aspects of football.

Fields absolutely has athleticism and can throw deep. It's everything else that is shaky. He's too quick to run. Doesn't keep his head up in the pocket. Doesn't throw the ball away when he needs to. Is slow going through progressions. Struggles to read defenses.

Lots of young qbs struggle and he's no different. But that's my point. He is no different.

I'm a Bears fan and desperately want them to find a franchise qb, but at this point Field's athleticism isn't selling me on him being a long term solution. He needs to show more.
