L.A. Health Department Asks Film Industry to Pause Production

U need ventilators for severe covid patients. Pretty sure we arent out of those. If u have a ward with 50 icu beds but the nurses are stretched thin then thats less time per patient. Afterall, there’s not much the staff can do other than comfort and hooking up to the right drops and machines. Unless ur nursing staff knows something about treating covid that the rest of the world doesnt. It’s not “some patients dont get treated at all”. Organize, Prioritize, allocate, execute. Are the nurses constantly busy and outstaffed from what they’re used to from their perspective? Of course. What’s what anyone who has a lot on their plate juggling feels like at their job.

Also, hospitals can allocate ventilators to the general ward bed and it would pretty much be an icu bed. The staff has slightly differently protocols in icu but generally the same as the general ward.
