Lab-grown 'clean' meat could be on sale by end of 2018, says producer - Cultured tissue, harvested without killing any animals, could allow scientists to grown meals’ worth of products with just a handful of starter cells

I think those people are just biased towards natural (or supernatural) things. You could tell them wearing some beads from the East causes relaxation or a certain herb releases stress and they will both buy into the idea try to help their friends by sharing it. I think these concerns need a driving force behind them to keep them going otherwise nobody really cares and these things won’t even be in the small print.

The driver behind the GMO concern is that for a lot of people it makes them thing of Monsanto (the millions hurt when their chemicals were used in the most abhorrent ways and seed patenting) and US factory farms/steroid usage. There’s also a group of older people who are distrustful, assume the motives behind the science are bad and just wish for things to stay the same.
