Labour will lift benefits to highest level in real terms for at least 37 years

Thank you. This should be higher. I don't smoke I grow my own food, have Chickens, get basically all my clothes for free, my fridge freezes everything and my washing machine requires fixing at least once a month. I have a push lawnmower . cut my own hair, I basically don't eat on weekends to save money but I don't have the money to buy him the clothes he needs which he deserves for being so great a kid or avocados which are his favourite. I just don't know how to make it any better, there's nothing left over. That in itself is exhausting. I do really want to work but I don't want my kid to miss out. I worked in early childhood as a and a lot of the cheap places ( especially I kids and most chains) are basically child jails. How could I do that to him knowing what I know. So I stay at home as long as we can. But it's terrifyingly precarious. I don't know what we'll do if the rent goes up. All I want to do is have enough left over for petrol so we can go camping in summer and buy him a beautiful fire engine. I also have two degrees, volunteer at timebank, a gardening social justice co-op and run fundraising events for children's charities. I am a beneficiary I know plenty of others too who don't deserve the flack. that is my story .
