The lack of Hamilton skateparks...

Yes, the core/central Hamilton gets the short end of the stick. Again, most kids and a lot of adults don’t have cars to drive 30 minutes to an hour just to ride their “local skatepark” in waterdown, turner (which is ONLY for skateboarders, cops will give you a trespassing ticket as theres a cop station facing it.)

Beasley barely classifies as a skatepark or facility IMO. It’s bad. Gage is a bike ONLY pump track designed for new riders/kids so I wouldn’t call that a multi use skatepark facility. Dundas inflow is a privately owned business that could close its doors at any moment so doesn’t really have a factor in the city’s lack of parks. I’ve rode many parks around Ontario and Hamilton by far has the worst skateparks for our size of city and proximity to the GTA. Beasley is small, awkward and poorly designed. Unfortunately the quality of work wasn’t great as chipping started immediately after it was finished (shoutout scooters!) Sorry man but even the shitty placed ramp parks like Clarkson, Port credit, cooksville in mississauga are better then the poured concrete redesign at Beasley.

Gage pump track is great but it’s not a multi use skatepark facility lol. Look at all the unused space in Gage near the baseball diamonds. It is the perfect spot for a skatepark since it’s close to washrooms, fountains, convenience stores and lots of shaded area.

Why are you so against improving our city snd the things we offer our locals?
