The distinction between dorky, confident, and creepy varies. Biggest thing is you just gotta go out there and get comfortable.

If youre already on the dance floor, don't walk up to a girl already dancing and yell "wanna dance!" In her ear. It's a nonverbal situation because no one can hear anyone. Eye contact, maybe smile if you're feeling a smile, and move closer. If she's not into it, you will know, and as long as you move on and don't keep staring at her you avoided being a creep on the dance floor. If she is into it, just don't shove your tongue in her butt immediately and you're good!

If you're at the bar (not on the dance floor) and think the girl next to you is pretty and you'd like to dance, say hi (or however you like to approach humans) first. If you are a stone cold hunk, you can probably jump straight to "let's do this thing" and start daggering, but otherwise a random "wanna dance," doesn't always work great. It can sound meek and like you want a favor.

Honestly, you just need to do what is comfortable for you... which means you get out there and figure it out. You will have embarrassing moments, but you will learn to cherish them. Dont go in frustrated that different women like different things, you do you and find a woman who likes your style and get your booty-wop on.
