Ladies of Reddit, what does a period feel like. Is it different for everyone? How did you react when you first had yours?

For the most part mine feels like...nothing at all.

I was excited when I got my first period (in 6th grade) because my best friend had just started hers a few days earlier, and as a skinny girl with no boobs it was something that made me feel more mature.

Lately I've been getting warning cramps about a week before it starts (especially after sex or pooping, which triggered some funny looks from my GYN - does anything else have that??) and then less intense cramps the first day of my period.

Other than that, it's pretty uneventful and tampons don't feel like much once they're in. It's just that pads feel gross, in my opinion...I hate feeling bulky and being able to feel that I'm dripping.
