I'm so glad someone made this thread as I got a funny and relevant story to share...

So my best friend of 10 years (and now something more obviously) is completely oblivious to any hints, even the obvious ones.

We were really close ever since the beginning, and even then we use to chat for almost 10-15 hours every day. So after he was single for a while, I decided to start dropping hints to let him know I liked him more than a friend since I didn't want to say it straight up and risk ruining our friendship for good.

Since we use to send pics to each other for opinions on clothing choices, my first attempt was to send him pretty sexy lingerie shots, you know the ones that still covered everything it should like a bikini would, but with materials that are definitely not good for swimming. His response? "Oh that looks nice on you." Nothing else.

Second try was over some conversation about the type of girls guys would like to date: me: I don't think I'm the type of girl guys would want to date. him: Are you crazy? Guys would totally want to date you. me: So would you want to date me then? him: Yeah, I'd totally want to date you. me: so are you saying you would DATE me then? him: ... no no no no no no no no no no, I only like you as a sister.

There are many more, and before anyone jumps to the conclusion that he really didn't like me as anything more than a best friend, I just need to clarify that he did (told me 10 years later), and that he's always had strong feelings for me but didn't realize I liked him the same way back at all. Go figure?
