To the lady on the #3 bus today...

This 40ish tall bearded guy got on the 99 towards commercial station last Saturday. He was clearly out of his mind, talking to himself. All of a sudden he turned towards me and started calling me a terrorist and claiming the police were coming to get me. He started to get aggressive when he didn’t get a reaction from me, other than the slight smile when he called me Canada’s most dangerous terrorist (kinda caused me to blush). It got to a point where he was waving his hand in front of my face to get me to acknowledge him. For context, I’m a 5.6 ft 34 year old brown guy that looks like a 17 year old on a good day.

Not one fucking person on that bus said a thing (there were 6 women and 2 guys towards the back of the bus where we were sitting), instead choosing to stare at their phone screens and not make it their problem. The guy next to me was literally looking at the app icons on his phone. My only assurance was the box cutter that I had forgotten to take out of my pocket when I left work (also why I thought twice about calling the police. After all, self defence and assault seem to be the same thing).

This went on for a good 20 mins till we got off at commercial drive.

Fun times!
