Lady shanks golf ball into the crowd twice in a row...hitting the same person each time.

There are sadistic fuckers out there, she doesn't even apologise or anything and she hits the same woman twice. The chances of doing that by mistake are pretty damn slim.

That is the part that just amazes me. She has no idea how badly she has just injured someone and doesn’t even apologize.

I have only hit one person in my 20 years of playing golf.

I was teeing off on a par 4 with houses about 30 yards off of the fairway along the left side. These houses were the kind that had their backyards on the course with no fences to separate their yards from the course.

About 4 houses up from the tee box, 2 young girls (12-13) were standing at the edge of their yard were it joined the course. They were a good 80 yards ahead and 30 yards left so I thought “ I would have to hit a pull hook to have any chance of hitting them”. Thinking they were safe, I stepped up with my driver. Little did I realize that just the having the thought of a pull hook going through my mind for a couple of seconds was all it took.

I proceeded to hit that exact shot. The shock I felt was incredible. I was able to yell FORE but they had not been watching us so they froze.

All these years of being safe around people and it was about to come to a dramatic end. I hit one of the girls and she started to cry in the way that you know this person has been hurt. I *immediatley took off running to her at full speed! When I got to her, she was holding her leg. I asked the other girl if her parents were around. She said yes and I told her to go get them. I work in healthcare so I immediately went into first responder mode. I started apologizing and assessed her injury. Her parents arrived and we completely rational and understanding. I asked if they wanted my personal information and they said no. Fortunately, the ball hit her on her thigh muscle So it was just going to be a big bruise. After a few minutes when the tears had stopped and I had apologized for the 20th time, I said farewell and realized how that whole situation could have been so much worse.

Fast forward one month: I was playing with the same group on the same course. I get to that tee box and look over to where the girls had been standing, briefly reliving the most traumatic event I have ever had on a golf course.

Thinking I would just put this behind me, I stepped up to the tee.....

And proceeded to hit the exact shot I did a month ago. I kid you not, if she had been standing there, I would have hit her again!. I have not been back to that course since.
