Lady with cancer walks into pain management, is greeted with this sign.

The one time I went to a pain clinic to see about surgical options, I had to fill out an ass load of paper work. I had to consent to two pages of this kind of shit like bringing in my medicine with 24 hours of notice so it could be counted. I even had to pass a urine drug test before I could be seen.

I was not there seeking drugs of any kind and made this very clear. The APRN I saw kept asking if I wanted a script for pain medicine and muscle relaxers and was confused when I insisted I was covered. After I said no for at least the third time, she wrote scripts anyway and put them in my check out paper work (I never filled them).

It was such a bizarre experience. I have never been back and did not go through with the surgery they planned as they did not give me any information about the procedure aside from the date.
