Lake of shadows grandmaster changes

Everyone knows and accepts GMs are supposed to be the most difficult. No one saying that is bringing up a new point we haven't heard.

I think we should think about the knock-on effects that could happen if Bungie decides to think of this as a philosophical change where they continually make the easiest grind harder.

One thing a lot of people here don't realize is how messed up the material economy is from double reward week ordeals and the impact that has on people who can't beat the GMs. They aren't swimming in 100s of mats like we are, and their ability to have fun casually making builds is hurt disproportionally by a change like this. They really don't have any options other than to grind playlist activities for weeks or even months to be able to make a single proper build in some cases. They don't represent me, but they do represent a much larger percentage of the community than I do, and I think their voice doesn't usually get heard, especially when we bring up things like end-game GMs.

If you want to make the best grind, by far, for materials harder.. then think about how much less people will be able to engage with build-making, and add in more ways for them to get the materials to masterwork armor.. or, make it easier to masterwork armor in the first place.
