Lamar is a pawn

But we shouldn’?… at most we go slightly above what the market dictates what he’s worth. This is a business at the end of the day and if y’all want Lamar to have the weapons y’all complain he doesn’t have, then we have to find the most team friendly deal. That’s literally business 101. I swear the post 2019 fans just think cap space grows on trees and think we’re the type of franchise to leverage the future for literally anything. We’ve never been that way and never will. Which is a good thing. We have two Super Bowl in a little over 20 years as franchise for exactly that reason. As much as I love Lamar dude hasn’t finished the last two seasons and prior to that didn’t make deep playoff runs. Roast me now but weve BEEN a winning franchise for the 20+ years I’ve been a fan because we make the tough but smart choices, regardless of what the fanbase thinks. I remember people losing their shit when we let Ed go… only for him to play like ass in Houston and New York. We’ll regret allocating 1/5th our cap to a dude who hasn’t even reached the end of the season 1/2 of his time starter.
