The absolute total amount is given and we can both go in and pay different amounts into the full sum as we please whenever as long as it’s before it’s due, it doesn’t even HAVE to be split half and half, that’s just what we choose to do and sometimes I even pay a little more when my roommate has a hard month with bills and such.

I also noticed in the lease how it says services are a privilege. I see that she says anyone who misuses the service will have it revoked and will be further charged, so it sounds almost trivial to be forced to pay for a service that can be revoked as a privilege from someone who abuses it
