Landlord Termination for Sales to circumvent RERA price index

Are you not being a bit too selfish here? We are all lucky to have got around 20-0% reduction in rents from 2019 and 20 thanks to Covid. Your landlord renewed your contract last year without increase as he was stupid not to serve the notice in time. He then gave you 12 months notice.

The law might say he can't rent for 2 years (not sure about this) but after a point, shouldn't the arket demand / supply dynamics work itself? Had the rents gone down, of course we can easily shift homes and landlord has no choice but to quickly adjust.

Mate, you can go to RERA. But karma will come back at some point. Also, it is only matter of time before landlords start checking records for troublesome tenants and deny apartments in future.

Just my 2 bit.
