Landlords provide housing? Nope!

I’m a landlord of one residence. I’m not doing it because I’m benevolent, but the tenants in there were up to a month and a half behind on rent within the last year, and I wasn’t hassling them about it or charging any late fees. They have expressed a desire to buy it from me, and that’s great and all for them, but there was just no way they would have gotten financing.

I also realize I may not be typical as a landlord.

So I think rental housing DEFINITELY provides a necessary service. Buy I also think that ownership of single family homes should be limited to individuals, and each individual should be able to own up to 3. Maybe only up to 2. Because yeah, driving prices up buy preventing people from owning their home is really bad, because everyone NEEDS a home. If rich people want to buy up all the yachts and rent those out and prop up the yacht prices... that would be fine.
