Landlords of reddit, what was the shittiest tenant you've ever had?

Had a young couple break up midway through the lease, and happened to share my first name with the guy. From that point on, the girl would always address me by my full name. I'd call her, "Hi John Smith." I'd ask her to send me something, "Okay John Smith." It was fucking weird.

More to the point of this thread, she was also a huge, spoiled asshole who threw a 3-year-old's temper tantrum when she didn't get her way. During one phone call I had to lay down the law and tell her to figure out the rent with her ex because they were both still on the lease and therefore equally responsible. She told me, "You're being mean!" (verbatim). I couldn't help but chuckle at the absurdity of the remark, and she proceeded to overpower me with a huge, prolonged, exaggerated laugh that lasted around 30 seconds straight and I assume was meant to mock me. Needless to say I did not renew her lease.

When I did the final walkthrough (with her permissive family) I found a boatload of damage from her tantrums, including several fist-sized holes in the wall and a broken security latch which had been literally ripped in two--the metal was torn in two. I still don't know how she managed that.
