Landmark Australian ruling rejects coal mine over global warming - The case is the first time a mine has been refused in the country because of climate change.

we are now celebrating our failure to seize productive economic opportunities, in the name of 'preserving the climate'. in other words, fruitful, active endeavours become shunned by society while being passive and refusing to tap even our own natural resources is now seen as high virtue.

a coal mine will potentially put roofs over the heads of hundreds of people. it provides energy and materials for the nation. these are real, visible human benefits that will improve peoples lives. we sacrifice this to pat ourselves on the back for 'preserving the climate'. not the environment, something we can actually realistically strive to do, but the climate- something totally ethereal, based on an interpretation of weather trends and how they might relate to whats in the atmosphere. its insanity.

you have to consider the possibility that this climate change agenda, which is an agenda, is not the innocent cry from humanity's soul to save the rainforests. maybe its a way of weakening national integrity, maybe as a means of ensuring the economic primacy of the inevitable one world superstate ????
