Landscape grading help

Is that brick veneer siding or brick?

Where is the foundation?

Ideally, build up soil on your foundation to be higher that’s the soil on the right along the fence. But leave a few inches if clearance between the soil and your siding. Brick siding is not foundation so be careful about building up soil on your house.

What’s at the fence? Can you lower the soil there? The pavers are inconsequential in comparison to your foundation and lot grade. That’s ground zero. Don’t be precious about the pavers of you care about the house.

If you can’t lower the soil to the fence, you can build a small retaining wall and a perimeter drain. This is slightly complicated but can be accomplished in two or three days with a couple of hard workers.

Best case: grade all soil down hill away from the foundation. Don’t let soil touch the siding.
