Language barrier

She completely learned Viet thru her Vietnamese husband in like a decade and she speaks it fluently or even better than me and my parents. (very embarrassing for us but sooo impressive)

Cool! Unfortunately, my SO and most of his siblings only speak "pidgin Vietnamese", as they call it. So it'll be quite interesting how we'll tackle the issues of a multilingual family (English/Swiss German/Vietnamese/French).

My Vietnamese sucks immensely I can speak it and read a little. I am going to tutor German to a Vietnamese person soon though so I hope I can learn a bit of viet from her :D

I'll have more time in a month or so, and will probably look into finding a Vietnamese tandem partner xD
