Andy even then, sometimes it gets strange in the system.

My husband and I were in a bad auto wreck. He was majorly concussed and couldn’t give any info, while I was fine mentally. He had to go by ambulance, but I had someone else drive me because ambulance bills in the states are crazy.

I gave the EMTs at the scene his name, dob, social etc before they took him, but when I got to the hospital an hour later, he had been admitted as a Doe.

Idk if it was because he didn’t have his ID physically on him, or if the EMTs didn’t give the ER his information or if it was clerical.

The only way I was let back to see him was because he came to and was asking for me, and they had a nurse come to the lobby and ask if there was a wife there looking for her husband and I was able to describe him and the accident in great detail.

No hurt feelings to the hospital/EMTs, of course. Sometimes when the situation is that tense and urgent, things get lost in the process.
