I liked this movie, but I’m left somewhat unsatified. Here’s my qualms:
The first 5 minutes had me cringing. Mom joke?
Why didn’t they answer hardly any questions they set up from Episode 7?
Why is Luke the exact opposite of the character he was in IV - VI?
Finns storyline was weak. The casino scene was weak. That silver girl who was his boss lasted a whole 5 minutes.
Leia floating through space. My GF barely knows starwars and thought it was corny.
Why did the story seem choppy?
Who’s Snoke? Why did he even exist as a character. I understand rhat the apprentice must always kill the Sith. But Snoke might has well just been no one.
Why have Luke do the hologram and survive, just to have him die anyway two seconds later.
I don’t know how to explain in. There were a lot of things in the movie that I liked, I don’t want to make it sound like I hated it. I don’t mind that they’re trying to make it they’re own story - but I think there were several missteps.
I’ll give it a 7/10 because Rey and Kylo’s story line was strong and the movies are about them. I like that the movies are about them. They could have handled Luke wayyyyyy differently.
