Last night around 8pm there was a large explosive sound heard in multiple counties in northeastern Pennsylvania. People were seeing blue lights in the sky a few minutes afterwards.

yeah, I have my worries with the asteroid, just seems to me that something that size coming into our solar system would effect the earth in some way or another and that we should have much more attention focused towards it than we do now. But who knows maybe it won't effect us, I'm definitely not smart enough to make that assumption.

As far as the blue light goes most of the the transformers I've personally seen blow in my life usually pulsate, and is over rather quickly (5-10 sec) and its not so much blue, as its bright white. I'm leaning more towards plasma charge (like a red sprite plasma charge you can look at on google images), I watched a documentary on a professor at some state college do a presentation on earth losing its electromagnetic connection with the sun, and he explained that plasma charges in the upper atmosphere would be more and more common as the years go by.
