Late Night Roundtable - 7/22

I know she's basically out of the veepstakes, but I'm back on the Elizabeth bus after Trump's speech. Say what you will, but he hit a chord, excited his party, and showed strength. He's made it clear he's playing to the fears of the country and I think it'd be incredible for the Clinton campaign to really provide excitement and energy.

Warren would create headlines daily about her attacks, she'd be loyal and friendly to Clinton as she's already shown since she's endorsed, she'd really push the profound historical aspect of the Clinton campaign in terms of female legacy, and she'd destroy Pence in a debate. I understand that she has weaknesses in terms of probably scaring off moderates, or the loss of her senate seat, but I think Truml showed tonight that he's not only not playing by the rules, but he has the capability to really appeal to republicans in key states like Ohio (the state of Warren VP test rally) and possibly Pennsylvania.

Everything's pointing to Kaine and I think he's a fantastic choice, and if he's chosen I'll assume it's the best, but I really think Trump's speech brought something new towards the table. Pence may be a boring and safe pick, but Trump himself showed that he certainly isn't planning on being boring and safe. Thing is, if Clinton wanted Warren to provide surprise and energy, the campaign would be doing everything to make it seem like it was a safe choice like Kaine or Vilsack. I'm just sayin'.

Can't wait for the announcement whomever it turns out to be.
