Laughing Matters (2019) - Famous comedians talk about the link between depression, suicide and comedy - [00:28:49]

Man, Chris Gethard had me tearin' up.

I have this unhealthy hang-up about being a disappointment to my dad. I even talked to him about it a few days ago. I just can't take it, I can't take being a failure or a disappointment to him, I don't want him to hate me because I didn't do something right or something. I can't take it. I always try and do things and sometimes I feel like what I do isn't good enough, and it's not necessarily what he puts on me but when a situation doesn't work out, I panic and get super upset and anxious. There's something about being a chick in this family and being set up to fail or unraveling a mat on your face and letting people walk all over you and still not being good enough. And it's fucked up because we have a great, loving family.

Aside from that... Dave Attell said in the beginning of his other documentary why are comedy documentaries so fucking depressing serious? Because they're honest, Dave. You're getting at the core of why we think, feel, and do things.
