Is the launch of JWST having an affect on disclosure?

I’ve seen the Phosphine Queen :). That was a great podcast between the two of them.

She specifically thinks that the media jumped the gun by calling it possible bacteria life on Venus. She recognizes that’s a candidate solution, but not the only solution.

An oxygen-rich atmosphere would suggest a biosphere replenishing the oxygen. But it doesn’t guarantee that’s what’s happening.

There are some techno signatures that will be irrefutably artificial. We’re unlikely to find any though. We’re likely to find a lot of candidate planets that can host non-intelligent life. We’ll need additional testing and advancements to confirm it beyond a shadow of a doubt though.

This stuff is still super exciting. We’re quite literally alive during a period of time in which we may scientifically prove life beyond Earth.
