Laurels in Exeter Waiting Times?

When I was referred early 2015 it took 11 months to get the first appointment then another year to see the doctor.

Sorry to say it's over 18 months now, that comes from one of the volunteers that helps out there. :( They have been getting more psychotherapists and doctors in to help combat the utterly insane waiting list but with more and more people coming forward to get help things will get worse before they get better.

If you already have your referral and feel you need support in the mean time try calling the Laurels and asking if you can get some help from one of the volunteers. They should offer this to you when your referral is accepted anyway. If you go down and meet with one of the volunteers they can listen if you need to vent and they can explain how the entire system works and what to expect. The volunteers have been through it all themselves so they know the pains of the waiting game. They can also advise you on how to get started on name change, updating your GP records, changing bank details, HMRC, etc whilst you are waiting for that first appointment. :)
