i get not liking the game but what's with these super salty posts that take a giant dump on the game because they're not very good at it? there's so many valid complaints like the super ugly artstyle, not being optimized very well and forcing in dumb mechanics like lootboxes. instead people seem to play it, not do very well and then post about how much the mechanics suck even though the core game is very fucking good for a modern arena shooter.

look at this crap.

For example the ball game mode is a complete disaster - it takes literally 2 seconds to deliver the ball with some classes and there's close to no way to defend your goal.

the ball has a timer before you can pick it up. you can't just run in and snatch it. you have to stand near it for 5 seconds before anyone can pick it up. if your team isn't contesting the ball and just dicking around then yeah i guess you can cap it in 2 seconds. also you can definitely defend the goal. most matches ive played of blitzball have someone acting as a keeper. either a gunslinger to snipe the squishies that try super fast caps or a juggernaut to put up walls against people like titan.

The no-gravity zones coupled with dumb hitscan weapons just makes it a numbers game.

what does this mean? every comp shooter in existence has hitscan weapons. quake has fucking hitscan weapons. if you're implying it's super easy to hit people in no-grav that's just not true. it's literally not true. your characters movement ability+blindfiring let's you go faster than any other arena shooter i've ever played. the hitscan weapons either don't do a lot of damage or are hard to aim snipers.

i've seen so many similar complains in quake champions threads. just a bunch of nonsense from people that obviously don't play arena shooters and aren't very good at them. i get it. our niche gaming genre is dead and most people don't like it. that doesn't mean you have to shit on it constantly for dumb reasons.
