The lack of term limits is one of the most disturbing and havoc-wreaking holes in our government. From the local to state to federal levels.

This whole siege on capitol hill wouldn’t have even happened if our government had term limits. Lawmakers incentives to fuel lies, conspiracies and propaganda they know isn’t true that exacerbates public distrust and leads to chaos is primarily because they know it will give them support and get re-elected.

Clearly this is a detrimental flaw in our governing system at the federal level, and it’s sad to see it likely won’t even happen at the state level. We’re asking our leaders who already have that power to willingly surrender the potential for timeless power.
